Welcome to the PathXchange Blog!

PathXchange(Px) was launched with an intent to create a not-for-profit professional networking portal for pathologists to stay connected with their peers, keep their professional knowledge current, and contribute to the cause of furthering the advances of the global pathology community. Within nine months since its inception in March 2009, Px has already become a preferred destination for pathologists around the world to network, share cases, exchange knowledge, teach students, conduct research and gain second opinion on difficult cases- all at one convenient location online.

Px has something to offer to all its pathology members-students, residents, professors, researchers, practitioners, etc. Here are just some examples of how Px can be used; find out how best you can use Px yourself!

Browse cases- Browse interesting cases from over 20 different sub-specialties, uploaded by pathologists from over 40 countries around the world.

Create cases- Create your own online case gallery and post them publically, or within your own network of pathologists. Use our simple, user friendly case creation tool to quickly upload and edit cases. Reference each case and slide with a permanent URL from websites, research papers, and journals. Upload whole slide images instead of limiting the audience to fixed fields of view.

Share cases- Share your cases and slides with colleagues. Create your own Px Group and invite your friends and colleagues to exchange knowledge and collaborate with other group members. Px is the perfect way to present your cases online.

Search cases- Search cases from our expanding global online knowledgebase of over 1000 peer-reviewed cases.

Learn and teach- Learn and teach the latest advances in pathology. Upload teaching slides, self-assessment cases for students to learn and practice, and become an expert in respective sub-specialties. Px enables anytime, anywhere access to teaching slides and provides a more interactive learning environment for students.

Conduct studies- Use Px as the platform to conduct research studies. Upload digital cases easily and let pathologists from multiple sites review slides online. Research findings can be easily recorded and aggregated using simple questionnaires.

Obtain 2nd-opinion- Ask experts for their opinion on your cases. Post your case on Px Second Opinion Network, with case history and your questions.

Ask questions- Seek answers to your pathology questions. Post your questions on Px Forum for a quick and easy way to reach out to Px community members to obtain answers, discuss difficult cases etc.

Px is already transforming the way pathologists around the world network! So why wait? Join the cause today!
